This is how Franconia tastes: All our dishes are homemade, the ingredients come exclusively from suppliers in the Nuremberg area. For us, that goes without saying. Our flagship are of course our bratwurst, whether as Röstla® from the grill or blue in vinegar. But there is so much more worth trying…
Everyone finds their place with us. Many Nurembergers even have their ancestral seat here. More than just a legend is, that Albrecht Dürer had a drink here with Peter Henlein, the inventor of the pocket watch (Nuremberg Eyerlein), among others.
Since we do not have a day off, you are welcome to let us know where you would like to be when you make your reservation. We will try to take this into consideration.
Of course, we also like to spoil small and larger parties, for which we offer special arrangements. Just ask us!
Our inn is the heart of the “gulden Stern”. With its 50 seats, the sandstone walls, the cozy interior and the bull’s-eye glazing, you will forget the time while eating here. By the way: A look above is worthwhile: Behind the “colorful” wooden ceiling hides an anecdote, which the landlady will tell you here.
The wood-paneled Dr.-Erich-Mulzer-Stube can seat around 50 guests. The former Jakobsstube takes its name from the former chairman of the Altstadtfreunde Nürnberg, who, together with “gulden Stern” owner Martin Hilleprandt, rendered outstanding services to Nuremberg’s Old Town. The rustic parlor can also be reserved for events.
If you not only want to enjoy good Franconian meals, but also want to “goggern” – that means “peek” – our tables on the gallery are certainly the best choice. Just as cozy as the other rooms, there is room for about 20 guests here. With the best view of the coming and going in the restaurant.
The youngest room of our historical restaurant. In the course of the renovation of the building in 1980 was created our cozy winter garden, which can accommodate 30 guests.
Our beer garden – the place that offers space for up to 70 guests in spring and summer. Surrounded by plants and the chirping of birds, you could almost forget that you are in the middle of the city. Very central and yet in the countryside.
